Gyro has a cocky and flamboyant personality, appearing to have a high opinion of himself. However, he can be driven by emotions for other people and become realistic and serious when a problem presents itself.

Like most Manga archetypes, Gyro is incredibly intelligent when he needs to be. His most distinguishable body features are his long hair, western hat and his gold teeth which have "GO! GO! ZEPPELI" displayed on them, revealed whenever he smiles at someone. His signature laugh/chuckle is "Nyo ho ho ho~".

~!Note that the "Caesar" in his name is pronounced in the traditional Greek way, more akin to the German "Kaiser". This part will take place in Morioh-Cho (the same town in Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable), but in the alternative universe in which Steel Ball Run takes place.
 
Following the Great East Japan earthquake, Morioh has been stricken by vast earthen protrusions known by the locals as Wall Eyes. Despite investigation, professional estimations are left empty. Meanwhile, the young girl Yasuho Hirose discovers a man buried within the ground, he possesses a distinctive star-shaped birthmark together with deeply penetrating bite marks. The man, who has contracted a staple case of amnesia is taken in by a local family and given the name Jousuke Higashikata, however mysterious events cannot stop from piling one upon the other and soon that enigma known as stands emerges to complement the great cloud of confusion.

The beginning of the seventh story arc in the long-running JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. 

It’s 1890, in America, the Steel Ball Run — the first horse racing championship across the North American continent — was about to begin. Johnny Joestar, once being hailed as a genius jockey, is now paralysed and lost in despair. He finds hope in the mysterious phenomena caused by Gyro Zeppeli, an outlaw aiming to win the race, and determines to participate in the 4,000 miles of grueling adventure.

Kaiji Tang is an American voice actor working primarily in Los Angeles. Kaiji was primarily known to the majority of anime fans as one of the panelists on AnimeTV until he made the transition into voice over acting and had his first major role as the unusual character of Sputnik in Kite Liberator. He has gone on to play roles such as Shiro Takamachi and Graf Eisen in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's along with Colbert and Derflinger in The Familiar of Zero. He has also had minor roles in shows such as Flag, Karas, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Tweeny Witches. The second race stage of JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Steel Ball Run. 

In the 2nd STAGE, a desert crossing spanning roughly 750 miles- the land that Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli must challenge, is home to the area that is feared as the "Devil's Palm." In 1875, a threat lurking in said desert wiped out a cavalry of 26 people, eliciting fear from the local native people. As ominous incidents begin to unfold, they are forced to realize that this race is far more than a mere competition. The two press forward, where countless hidden motives collide.
