Sarada Uchiha is a kunoichi from Konohagakure's Uchiha clan. Because she grew up without having her [father](https://anilist.co/character/13/Sasuke-Uchiha) around, Sarada initially struggles to understand who she is or what she's supposed to be. After meeting him with the help of [Naruto Uzumaki](https://anilist.co/character/17/Naruto-Uzumaki), Sarada comes to believe that she is defined by the connections she has with others, and as a member of [Team Konohamaru](https://anilist.co/character/3889/Konohamaru-Sarutobi), she seeks to someday become Hokage so that she can connect with as many people as possible.

However, Sarada shares a complicated relationship with Naruto's son, [Boruto Uzumaki](https://anilist.co/character/121439/Boruto-Uzumaki), although she is also interested in him due to their similar relationships with their respective fathers. The two ninjas are often at odds with one another, with the young Uchiha valuing the Hokage post while Boruto initially showing utter disdain for it, and they usually argue and fight with each other for almost anything. Despite this, they are very close, deeply caring for one another's well-being and actually supporting their dreams greatly. In the anime, Sarada appears to be close to [Himawari](https://anilist.co/character/121445/Himawari-Uzumaki) as well, referring to her as "Hima-chan".

Naruto Shinden is a light novel series which began publication with Konoha Shinden: Steam Ninja Scrolls in 2016, but was not formalized until it was relaunched with three additional novels that were released from May to July 2018, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Shueisha Jump jBooks. Konoha Shinden was originally meant to be part of a series that would help bridge Naruto and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, but the 2018 relaunch shifted focus the two generations of parents and children.

In the Kishimoto portion, Mitsuki discusses the heritage of the members of Team Konohamaru. In the Taira portion, Konohamaru gives his team a bell test.
