A second-year middle school student and one of the Heroes of the first Hero Team and the ancestor of [Sonoko](https://anilist.co/character/88641/Sonoko-Nogi). Wakaba is a serious, strong-willed girl that believes in rewarding favors. She seeks revenge on the Vertexes and is willing to take risks to get it. She is a natural, charismatic leader who is wildly popular with the general public. However, she is also a kindhearted girl who is dismayed that her serious exterior sometimes scares people off, and she has a hidden soft side which enjoys being spoiled by Hinata.

As a Hero, Wakaba fights using a sword named Ikutachi. It can cut through Vertexes with ease, even if the user is not transformed. Ikutachi is one-handed, meaning she has no need to hold onto it with both hands.

The story of Nogi Wakaba wa Yuusha de Aru takes place 300 years in the past, in 2018, the first days of the Divine Era. The six main characters form the first ever Hero Team: Nogi Wakaba, Nogi Sonoko's ancestor; Uesato Hinata, Takashima Yuuna, Koori Chikage, Doi Tamako and Iyojima Anzu.

A voice actor, singer, and the drummer of [Poppin'Party](https://anilist.co/staff/153185/PoppinParty). Ayaka was born in Saitama Prefecture but moved to Tokyo after kindergarten. She became part of a theater company in elementary school and appeared in commercials, stage productions, and TV dramas. After receiving some voice acting lessons in the company, she realized that she wanted to become a voice actress. She got scouted in 2011 by Horipro and began her career. In August 2014, she debuted as a singer with her single "YES!!", which was used as the opening theme for the anime _Sabagebu!_.

Her hobbies includes karaoke as well as watching anime, drumming, browsing the internet, gaming, watching sports, and reading light novels. She had drumming skills prior to joining the _Bang Dream_ franchise. Ayaka loves heavy metal and shares her love together with her mother, who used to sing Marilyn Manson's songs for her as lullabies. Her favorite bands are Evanescence, Papa Roach, and Slipknot. Ayaka is also the voice provider of the VOCALOID4 voicebank, MATCHA.

In year 29 of the Divine Era, more than thirty years have passed since a mysterious monster from the heavens destroyed all of Japan except Shikoku. Young boys and girls, already unaware of the tragedy of that time, live in peace behind the wall that protect Shikoku. In such a time, there was a girl who was given the name "Yuuna" because of a special gesture she made at birth. Yuuna is an honorary name taken from Takashima Yuuna who perished in a fierce battle with the monsters about 30 years ago. Yuzuki Yuuna was one of those Yuunas, but contrary to her heroic name, she was a girl with no special powers. She learns that there is a girl in the same school with the same Yuuna name. Fuyou Lilienthal Yuuna — She says, "My dream is to go outside the wall and see the world for what it really is."

300 years ago, in the background of the first Heroes who fought against the Vertexes when the world was still in the Christian Era, there was another battle for the Mikos led by Uesato Hinata.

The story takes place in the era of the gods, year 300. Yuuna Yuuki lives an ordinary life as a second year middle school student, but she's also a member of the "Hero Club," where club activities involve dealing with a mysterious being called "Vertex."

It is the year 300 of the Divine Era. The world inside the Shinju where all Heroes and Mikos were summoned from all ages during the crisis of the Shinju. They gathered in Sanshuu Middle School Hero Club and have transformed it into a large family with a total of 27 members. The club president, Inubouzaki Fuu who gathered these powerful friends together, announces the development of the long-awaited Hero Club Udon.

The spin-off 4-koma manga of Nogi Wakaba is a Hero depicts the activities of the first generation of Heroes, 300 years before Yuuki Yuuna is a Hero. We'll be showing you the "no fighting, lots of food" and relaxed daily life of the brave Nogi Wakaba and her friends.
