Akari Ōshiro is a new member and later manager of the Umuru High Beach Volleyball Club in Harukana Receive.

Akari is a tsundere-type, thus is constantly embarrassed and nervous when called by her nickname 'Shii-Chan' or when Claire remembers her participation in the drink's advertising in the past as the Shequasar Girl.

The story takes place in Okinawa, where Haruka forms a beach volleyball pair with Kanata. Kanata, who couldn't handle the pressure put on her by her short height, had given up on beach volleyball already, but is convinced by Haruka to step back on the sand once again and aim for the junior tournament.

An American actress and voice actress, mostly starring in independent film roles and anime voice over roles for Funimation.

In 2016, she won the Staff Choice Award for Voice Actress of the Year at the 4th Annual BTVA Anime Dub Awards. Then, in 2018, she won the Staff Choice Award for Best Female Lead Vocal Performance in an Anime Television Series/OVA for her role as Yuzu in "Konohana Kitan" at the 6th Annual BTVA Anime Dub Awards.

When high schooler Haruka moves to Okinawa, she finds herself enamored with the beach right outside her front door and resolves to form a volleyball team with her cousin, Kanata. However, because she’s so short, Kanata gave up on volleyball ages ago. Can Haruka get her to take up the sport again in time for the junior tournament?
