Ryouhei Yamanouchi is a first-year student at Kazemai High School where he is a member of the kyudo club.

Ryouhei was childhood friends with [Minato](https://anilist.co/character/128273/) and [Seiya](https://anilist.co/character/128274/) and went to kindergarten and elementary school with them until he transferred in fifth grade and went to a different middle school than them. In middle school, he took kyudo classes as part of his required martial arts course.

Ryouhei greatly admires Seiya for his intelligence and kindness to everyone, and frequently praises him for it. He steadfastly refuses to believe Seiya can do anything bad. He gets along with [Nanao](https://anilist.co/character/128275/) very well due to their similarly cheerful and chatty personalities. The two of them often joke around and laugh together. Their interactions are the specialty of the kyudo club.

Minato played Japanese archery in middle school, but after a certain incident, he ran away from the sport. In high school, Minato meets new friends, and together as part of their school's archery club they aim to win the prefectural tournament.

Minato’s return to archery may have helped Kazemai High’s Kyudo Club win a prefectural tournament, but it’s a poor bowman who expects an arrow to fly the same flight every time. With the entry of a radical new team, one of whose members is Minato’s former upperclassman, the old rivalry between Kazemai and Kirisaki becomes a triangle with the upstart team from Tsujimine as serious contenders. And even as the men’s team struggles to adjust to the new paradigm, competition doubles again as the Kazemai women’s team of Rika, Yuna, and Noa prepares to enter their first tourney as well! Prepare to be aquiver as each new arrow makes its mark in TSURUNE - THE LINKING SHOT!

There are many reasons why two rival teams would join forces. In the case of the Kazemai and Kirisaki kyudo teams, it’s to learn about a pop idol to help Masa!
