Ririka is a first-year student of Kitauji High School and an oboe player in Kitauji Concert Band Club.

She has a light and cheerful childlike personality who tries to build a good relationship with [Mizore](https://anilist.co/character/125960/). However, according to [Kanade](https://anilist.co/character/133462/), Ririka is aware of her ability to pass off any rude or suspicious behaviour as innocence with her smile. When Ririka's interested in something, she starts from the beginning and goes step by step.

Her special skill is making friends.

Students and best friends Mizore Yoroizuka and Nozomi Kasaki prepare to play a complex musical duet, Liz and the Blue Bird, for oboe and flute. Though they play beautifully together and have been friends since childhood, Mizore and Nozomi find that with graduation looming and the duet proving difficult, their friendship begins to buckle under the pressure. Interspersed with their story is the fantasy tale of Liz, drawn like a storybook, contrasting with the crisp realism of the school.

Xanthe Huynh is an American voice-actress of Vietnamese descent. Huynh's path to acting began during a course in theatre acting during an elective course while in middle school. She fell in love with acting and continued on the acting path throughout high school and her passion eventually led to her graduating with a degree in Dramatic Arts at the University of Irvine in California. 

Huynh also enjoyed anime as a hobby and confided in her friends if there was any way to combine her two loves. Her friends were supportive of the idea and pushed her to try out for Anime Expo's voice acting competition called AX Idol. She would eventually make it as a finalist and was invited to audition for, and eventually signed with Bang Zoom! Entertainment and is still currently working for them since 2008, and is currently based in Los Angeles, California. 

Since signing, Huynh has gone on to voice minor and major character roles in anime and video games in major productions. Besides voice acting, Huynh also enjoys cosplaying, which is proudly displayed on her Instagram.

In order to participate in the Kyoto prefectural tournament of Ancon, a representative team is selected in the school's preliminary round. However, with over 50 members, the Kitauji High School brass band is facing a variety of problems!
