Tamao is first introduced as Nagisa&#039;s roommate. She plays a major role in this anime, as she eventually falls in love with Nagisa. She is shown as overcheerful and takes a large interest in Nagisa.     Tamao has a nice, helpful personality and sometimes enjoys gossiping about other people when it comes to matters of love and attraction.    Highly literate, she is a member of the Literature Club and loves to write poems. She writes the script for Astraea&#039;s adaption of Carmen. She is well-regarded among her fellow Miator students; many of the first-years see her as a viable Etoile candidate.

Aoi Nagisa transfers to one of the three affiliated all-girl Catholic schools on Astraea Hill, St. Miator's Girls' Academy. There, she discovers a community of fellow students entwined in an intricate hierarchy, in which two Etoiles represent the three schools. In order to fit in, Nagisa must go to class, join clubs, and make new friends. Meanwhile, Shizuma Hanazono, the sole Etoile of Astraea Hill, finds herself drawn to this new, exciting transfer student. As Shizuma and Nagisa get to know each other, Shizuma finally decides it is time to face her troubled past.

Ai Shimizu is a Japanese voice actress and professional wrestler. She has a career as a singer, signed to Lantis. She has released 14 singles (including joint and character singles) and four albums. She covered Yumi Matsutoya's "Toki o Kakeru Shōjo" as the B-side of her first single "Angel Fish" in 2003. She is known to have a close relationship with Mai Nakahara, having collaborated in eight anime where most of the characters they voiced in together had close connections: DearS, Kage Kara Mamoru!, My-HiME, My-Otome, My-Otome Zwei, Please Twins!, Sola, Strawberry Panic! and the Lucky Star drama CD. Shimizu has worked sporadic professional wrestling matches since December 2013
