Ashito is a brash and naïve kid from a remote prefecture called Ehime who has dreams of becoming the world's greatest forward. He currently lives in Tokyo as a first year high school student and member of Tokyo City Esperion FC.

Ashito Aoi is a young, aspiring soccer player from a backwater town in Japan. His hopes of getting into a high school with a good soccer club are dashed when he causes an incident during a critical match for his team, which results in their loss and elimination from the tournament. Ashito Aoi, a third year middle school student from Ehime, meets Fukuda Tatsuya, a J Youth League coach. Even though he's still rough around the edges, Ashito has such amazing potential that he gets invited by coach Fukuda to participate in his team's try-outs in Tokyo. The story of a boy who will revolutionize Japanese football begins to unfold.

The protagonist is Shun who lives in Ehime and is a year older than Ashito.
Shun was once devoted to football like his brother, but he's now distanced himself from the sport after a setback in the past.
That setback was his asthma.
Moreover, the first onset of his asthma was when he participated as a trainee for Ehime's J-club Football academy.
Through an unexpected reason, Shun will take up football once more?!

This is a comeback story that can give courage to anyone.

The main character here is Taira Nakamura, a senior member on the same J Youth team as Ashito Aoi, the protagonist of Ao Ashi. 
Taira is popular with his teammates, but he retired in the middle of his second year of high school, saying he wanted to become a police officer like his father. In this long-awaited side story, we focus on a side of him that was not depicted in the main storyline.
