Protagonist of the story, as well as a freshman in high school. Has lived at the Asahi Orphanage for 15 years ever since he was abandoned there as a newborn child. Occasionally, when he touches someone, he is able to read that person&#039;s emotions. Though he suffered extremely as a result, he has grown into an unyielding individual. Despite not having any memory of his previous existence, Yuki feels an odd nostalgia for Luka and ends up confiding in him. Since leaving the orphanage to go with Takashiro, Yuki has been referred to as &quot;Gioh Yuki&quot;. 

Sakurai Yuki is an orphan with a mysterious ability. Found near the fence of his current home, the Asahi Orphanage, Yuki strives for independence. The last thing he wants is to be a burden on anybody. His ability makes this nearly impossible, however; whenever he touches someone, he feel their emotions and see the darkness within their hearts and exactly what caused such darkness. Unable to control his ability, Yuki has often made insensitive blunders while trying to empathize with the person he feels pain for. Now, however, with death threats clouding his judgement and his ability increasing immensely, what will happen when a man claiming to be Yuki's older brother appears?

Abandoned as a baby and raised in an orphanage, the kind-hearted high-schooler Yuki Sakuragi is driven by a need to find the reason for his existence. Plagued by mysterious dreams, Yuki also possesses the strange ability to read the deepest, darkest thoughts of anyone he touches. As both the dreams and his powers intensify, there appears before him a beautiful young man named "Zess," whose face tugs on Yuki's memory. He warns Yuki not to venture outside on Walpurgis Night, the eve of the blood-red moon, which invites death. But when Yuki's compassion leads him to disobey Zess's order, has Yuki carelessly thrown his life away before he's even given himself the chance to find out the very reason for it?
