The main antagonist, Naraku (literally means &quot;underworld&quot;, or &quot;hell&quot;) is responsible for nearly every character&rsquo;s suffering throughout the series. He is a han&#039;yō that originated from a bandit named Onigumo (&quot;Demon Spider&quot;). Naraku&#039;s main goal is to collect all of the shards of the Shikon no Tama in order to become a full Youkai.His platonic love for Kikyo is what drove him to kill Kikyo and seal Inuyasha on the tree and basic reason to became a demon.

Kagome Higurashi, an average ninth grader, gets pulled into an ancient well by a demon, bringing her 500 years in the past to the feudal era. There, she meets Inuyasha, a half-demon who seeks the Shikon Jewel to make himself a full-fledged demon. With Inuyasha and new friends, Kagome's search for the Jewel of Four Souls begins...

Paul Dobson, of the brothers Dobson (himself, [Michael](https://anilist.co/staff/95562), and [Brian](https://anilist.co/staff/106848)), is an accomplished Canadian voice actor, one of the many who work with Ocean Group, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Paul is frequently cast in one of two roles: a brilliantly cunning, evil villain, or a thuggish strong guy. He also plays characters that provide some sense of comic relief, usually a minion of some kind of relatively small size.  Arguably, Paul's most notable role as a villainous character would be Naraku from InuYasha, with the manipulative Sideways from Transformers: Armada and the vicious dark-hunter Nidhiki from Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui as close seconds. As the tough guy, he is recognized as the elder Enzo Matrix from ReBoot, and the unstoppable Juggernaut from X-Men Evolution. His prominent comedic roles are Myoga from InuYasha, and Howdy from Hamtaro, as well as Happosai from Ranma ½. He commonly acts alongside his brothers, such as during the hit Bionicle movies B2 and B3, in which he also played Toa Whenua (a strong-guy character), as well as during Ranma 1/2 and Hamtaro. Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Shippou and their neko-mata friend Kirara, are now in the final leg of their quest to put an end to the elusive demon, Naraku and all of the chaos and evil he has caused, and to ultimately undo the unfortunate karma of the Jewel of Four Souls. Their journey, however, will not be easy as their remaining enemies put out all the stops to make sure that they do not accomplish their goal. 
This TV Anime depicts Volumes 36-56 (end) of the Inuyasha manga. The story continues from the last moment seen in Inuyasha's original anime. Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku and Shippou are now in the definitive quest to beat Naraku and the evil he has created and absorbed, they don't lose hope since their future depends on it, but the path isn't easy nor short so they will go through life threatening situations and must put their friendship and love on the line with wisdom to know who their friends and foes are to succeed.

Inuyasha and company have finally destroyed Naraku. And each start to go in their separate ways. Sango going to find her younger brother Kohaku; Miroku back to his old home; Inuyasha, Kagome and Shippou go to gather the rest of the Shikon shards. Unfortunately this peace is not to last. Shortly afterwards the full moon rises, and just keeps rising each night bringing with it the promise of danger. Kagura and Kanna go in search of a mirror, where locked inside is the ruler of the eternal night, Kaguya. To set her free they must gather five items and drop them into the five lakes of Fuji. Setting her free means the worst danger for Inuyasha and the others. Who are forced to face this new threat.
