Mayuri is a Spirit born from the spirit mana that Tohka, Yoshino, Kotori, Kaguya, Yuzuru, and Miku unconsciously emitted due to their stress and desire to have Shido all to themselves. However, since she was born from spirit mana, she would eventually disappear.Mayuri is a calm girl that rarely shows her emotions. She usually follows Shido around to observe his dates with the Spirits; to fulfill her and her Angel's goal.

Set in the premise after the events of Date a Live II, a mysterious existence named Mayuri has started to appear in Tengu City. Shidou set on a date to figure and find out the identity of the spirit. In order to find out the reason of the interruption of the disturbance that occurred, he goes on a date with six of the spirits that wanted him all for themselves for the mysterious being to appear.<br>

While a sophomore in high school, Amamiya was introduced to a video collection of roles of voice actress [Miyuki Sawashiro](https://anilist.co/staff/95099). Following this, Amamiya decided to become a voice actress.

Amamiya, together with [Momo Asakura](https://anilist.co/staff/118479) and [Shiina Natsukawa](https://anilist.co/staff/118818), passed an audition held by Music Ray'n in 2011, with the three making their voice acting debut in 2012. She made her official music debut for Music Ray'n by performing Akame ga Kill's opening theme "Skyreach." In late 2014, Amamiya, Asakura, and Natsukawa formed the music unit [TrySail](https://anilist.co/staff/144938/), which released its first single "Youthful Dreamer," used as the opening theme to the anime television series Ultimate Otaku Teacher, on May 13, 2015.

Amamiya, together with [Reina Ueda](https://anilist.co/staff/118602) and [Aya Suzaki](https://anilist.co/staff/114834), received the Best New Actress award at the 9th Seiyu Awards in March 2015.
