A detective that specializes in the occult. Inugami runs a Kemono detective agency in Tokyo. After meeting Kabane, he took him with him in order to help him find his parents. Inugami is a calm person who doesn't like conflict and is kind enough to follow Kabane and the others casually. He is good at taking care of the children, even helping them in their own various circumstances. As the head of the detective agency, he is good at solving and making sure the job is done right.

Special detective Kohachi Inugami is sent to investigate a grisly phenomenon involving animal corpses near a remote mountain village. But after meeting a strange boy who agrees to help, he discovers cursed supernatural forces at work. Little by little, Inugami uncovers the truth behind the killings and the boy who may not even be human.

Inugami is a Tokyo detective who specializes in the occult. One day, answering a call to a remote village leads him to Dorotabo: a peculiar boy nicknamed after a yokai that haunts muddy rice paddies.
