Logix is an alchemist and new government official working for the development team of the Corseit Branch. He was officially assigned to the team at the same time as Escha Malier, and the two will work together.

Logy is a serious and "down-to-earth" person, but is also kind. He has a burn scar on one of his arms, and he seems to avoid talking about his past.

He makes free use of the latest style of a "alchemic sword", an improved version of an artifact that was excavated from the ruins that combines the art of swordplay and alchemy. His hobby is to create various such swords.

~!He used to work as an alchemist developing airships in The Center, a city far away from Corseit. Happy for being recognized, he worked hard on a new airship engine. However, he felt that his mechanic colleagues didn't understand his work, lost trust in them, and continued to research on his own without listening to their feedback. After his research failed and caused a great fire accident, he left the city out of guilt that his close friend got very injured.!~

Escha Malier has always wanted to become an Alchemist and explore the ruins floating above her home town. Now she'll get her chance working in the R&D branch of the town's Alchemy department. However, she's not quite as ready for new coworker, Logy. They seem to be such total opposites! But as contaminants and pollution threaten the farmlands, they'll have to work together to seek out the causes. Because sometimes when one person alone can't save the world, two of them working in harmony can.

This world has gone through many Dusks, and is slowly nearing its end. Within this world, in the western reaches of the "Land of Dusk," there was a nation that prospered thanks to its use of alchemy.
 
There, in order to survive the eventual arrival of the "Dusk End," the people devoted their efforts to rediscover and recreate lost alchemic technologies. Rediscovered technology from the past era was gathered in the alchemy research city known as "Central," where research was conducted on how to halt the advance of the twilight.
 
One of the heroes is a young man who researched alchemy in Central, the other a girl living in a small town on the frontier. This girl's name is Escha. In the process of using her knowledge of ancient alchemy to help others, she was assigned to the Development Department. The young man's name is Logy. Having learned the newest alchemic techniques in Central, he requested a transfer to this understaffed town to make use of his abilities, and meets Escha when he is assigned to the Development Department as well. The two make a promise to use their alchemy together, and bring success to the Development Department.
