Reko seems intimidating, assertive, and "rough around the edges," especially in comparison to her milder female companions such as Nao and Kanna. However, she's generally friendly and takes on a sisterly role for those younger than her. She seems to act kinder to those who may be seen as "weak."

Reko is not fond of catering to others' expectations of her. As a child, she deliberately rebelled against those who were managing her music career by making songs that she wanted, no matter how unmarketable they were. Reko is shown to have great reflexes and a great memory as well. However, Reko tends to be quick to panic and is afraid of the dark and superstitious of things like ghosts.

Joe Tazuna has always been the most selfless person Sara Chidouin has ever known, someone she could count on to take a bullet for her. But that trust is put to the test when they wake up restrained to some strange tables and discover Joe holds a key that can set only one of them free. Thus begins a mysterious and sadistic game that will require all of their wits and faith in each other to survive…!

Out of concern for his best friend Sara's stalker issue, Joe decided to escort her home. However, as soon as they reached her house, they were attacked by someone and lost consciousness. When next Sara and Joe wake up, they find themselves in a strange facility. There, they find strange similarly kidnapped people. Including Joe and Sara, the 11 people-- despite being driven by suspicion-- cooperate, encourage each other, and become friends. While Joe protects Sara, he believes in everyone else and resolves to escape the facility. And yet, what awaited him was a Death Game where "Someone's death will be decided by everyone else."
