Rinku lived abroad in Africa as a child due to her parents' work, but she came back to Japan alone for high school and now lives with her grandmother. She is always cheerful and optimistic. Calling even nature her friend, she can sometimes be seen as an oddball. She became interested in DJing from her encounter with [Maho](https://anilist.co/character/168297/).

Having moved back to Japan from abroad, Rinku Aimoto transfers to Yoba Academy where DJing is popular. She is deeply moved by a DJ concert she sees there, and decides to form a unit of her own with Maho Akashi, Muni Ohnaruto, and Rei Togetsu. 
 
While interacting with the other DJ units like Peaky P-key and Photon Maiden, Rinku and her friends aim for the high stage!

Haruka Nishio, better known by her stage name Yuuka Nishio is a Japanese singer, voice actress and DJ from Kanagawa Prefecture who is affiliated with Hibiki. She was formerly active as a solo musician under the name Haruca, releasing the single "Eien no Kotae" in 2017. She is known for her roles as Nanami Hiromachi in BanG Dream!, where she also serves as the bassist of the band Morfonica, and as Rinku Aimoto, the protagonist of the multimedia franchise D4DJ.

D4DJ Double Mix is a self-contained special episode centering around the groups Merm4id and RONDO.
