A few years later, the Empire was in ruins under a financial crisis, a famine and an epidemic that caused the death of 10% of its population. By the time Mia was 17, the revolutionary army caught her while on the run, she was imprisoned in an underground cell for 3 years and then she died by guillotine at the age of 20.

After that, Mia woke up in her bed as her 11-year-old self remembering her death by guillotine very clearly which left her terrified. She still cares only about herself but because of that she has now a goal and that is to avoid the future of being executed by guillotine.

Twenty-year-old Princess Mia of the Tearmoon Empire, often scorned as the "selfish princess," was executed by guillotine in a rebellion. Next thing she knew, she awoke in her own twelve-year-old body, with her own blood-stained diary that she kept before she was beheaded sitting next to her pillow. Given a second chance at life, Mia decides to rebuild the empire. For the sake of Tearmoon's future? To save the people from starvation? For all the soldiers who lost their lives in the civil war? No! Everything she does in this life is for the sake of avoiding the guillotine! "F-For me, this should be a piece of cake!" Thus the useless, cowardly, self-serving princess brings about miracle after miracle in her great struggle to save herself in this altered-history fantasy.

Sumire entered the entertainment industry at the age of 9, when she was scouted by Space Craft's junior talent division. In 2009, she landed her first regular radio gig as host of Web Raji@Dengeki Bunko, and in 2011, she transferred to animation division of Space Craft due her interest in becoming a voice actress. On March 12, 2016, Sumire received the Best Rookie Actress award in the 10th Seiyuu Awards. She has also been a member of the seiyuu unit ".lady." since 2014.

Sumire is fluent in Russian and loves the Soviet culture, which she became interested in after hearing the State Anthem of the USSR in her first year of high school. In April 2010, Sumire entered the Faculty of Foreign Studies at Sophia University, and she majored in the Russian language there.

Sumire is interested in history and war figurines, particularly Russian/Soviet history, the Showa era, and likes the book Romance of the Three Kingdoms. She also has had a strong interest in games, anime and manga ever since she was a child. Her other interests consists of photography, lolita fashion-- she works as a lolita model-- and drawing, which she is quite good at. She also loves rock and heavy metal; her favorite bands are Metallica, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Dragonforce, and Kinniku Shoujo Tai. Additionally, Sumire is very good friends with fellow seiyuu [Sachika Misawa](https://anilist.co/staff/102337/Sachika-Misawa), who has called Sumire "her waifu".

The Tearmoon Empire has fallen. As the flames of revolution scour the land, the empire’s ever-selfish princess, Mia, is publicly executed by way of the guillotine...only to wake up in the past as her twelve-year-old self! The empire’s back, the revolution is a distant memory, and sweets are once again on the table! As the bloodstained diary she brought back with her proves, however, Mia’s memories of the future are by no means just a bad dream. All the horrors and indignities she experienced in that terrible timeline are bound to happen all over again... That is, unless she can shape herself up, recruit some allies, and exploit her knowledge of what’s to come to solve all of the empire’s problems before they spiral horribly (and lethally) out of control! Lazy, selfish, and a complete coward, the ill-equipped princess of the Tearmoon Empire, armed with memories of her past life and a diary from the future, tries to avoid dying at the guillotine again and changes the very course of history in the process!
