Ulala is the main protagonist of the Space Channel 5 series, she is a human female news reporter who joined Space Channel 5 in 2497, later acting as their lead investigative reporter during the alien and robot invasions of 2499, she is also a mentor to rookie twin reporters Lou and Kee. 
Ulala is a very talented dancer and skilled at playing several musical instruments, including the guitar, drums and keyboard. Her goal is to become recognized as the number one news reporter in the entire galaxy.
Off hand, Ulala enjoys shopping, her favorite ice cream flavor is cherry vanilla, her blood type is B and her Zodiac sign is Gemini, she also might have Herpetophobia (reptile phobia), specifically on Lizards, as one of Brent Suzuki in-game profiles implies. 

__History__:
Ulala was born somewhere on the planet Earth on May 30, 2477 at 1:18 AM. Her name was inspired by the tone of a small country in East Nippon, where her mother was born. As a child, she watched Galaxy Kids News, presented by Shinichiro Tachibana on Channel 1.
At the age of 12, Ulala was the sole survivor of a spaceship accident, making her an orphan. She was rescued from the brink of the galaxy by the Channel 5 reporter Jaguar, inspiring her to apply for the same job as a reporter for the channel years later. Jaguar resigned from Channel 5 shortly after the accident, meaning that she never got to thank him for her rescue.
It is likely that Ulala attended School M at one point in her teen years, owning a customized version of their student uniform. Prior to finding a career, Ulala worked temporary part-time jobs, including one where she wore a Winter-appropriate pink wool uniform, noted as 'Woolen Wear' in her changing room. 

The story of the anime will revolve around Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, and Mega Drive, who have just enrolled in SeHaGaga Academy at Tokyo’s Haneda Ootorii station. They are given an assignment needed to graduate by a suspicious teacher, and to clear this assignment, the girls need to enter the world of Sega games. The girls must try their best to graduate without incident.<br>

Mineko Okamura joined SEGA in 1998 and worked as assistant producer on REZ and Space Channel 5 at SEGAs internal Development Team UGA (United Games Artist). After the merge with Team Sonic, an other internal SEGA Dev Team, Mineko worked on Astro Boy for the Playstation 2. After that she left SEGA and joined Microsoft Game Studio where she worked on Ninety-nine Nights. In 2006 she left the Studio and established Grounding Inc. in September 2007 after she worked as a freelance producer.
