Karura Hiougi was originally introduced as an antagonist, but she is now a recurring character. She is a tengu who controls the yokai in Kyoto under the Western Forces that serve the Yoinozaka Family.

Initially, Karura is seen as possessive, obsessive, and a bit manipulative. She never gives up when she wants something or someone. After being rejected by Kogarashi, her personality mellows out but is still very ambitious of her goals. As the story progresses, it's revealed that she's actually quite shy after stalking Kogarashi Fuyuzora for so long. She can only be more forward with her feelings if angered, pushed in a corner, or gets "caught in the moment".

Homeless and haunted by ghosts, high schooler Kogarashi thinks his luck has finally turned when he finds Yuragi-sou-a cheap boarding house that was formerly a hot springs inn, now full of super sexy, scantily clad female tenants. If Kogarashi can use his spirit abilities to banish the ghost that haunts the inn, he can even live there rent-free! But when the ghost, a beautiful teenage girl named Yuuna, appears before him, Kogarashi takes pity on her and is suddenly not so sure about the exorcism. Will he help save Yuuna from becoming an evil spirit? And what supernatural secrets do the other boarders hold?

While a sophomore in high school, Amamiya was introduced to a video collection of roles of voice actress [Miyuki Sawashiro](https://anilist.co/staff/95099). Following this, Amamiya decided to become a voice actress.

Amamiya, together with [Momo Asakura](https://anilist.co/staff/118479) and [Shiina Natsukawa](https://anilist.co/staff/118818), passed an audition held by Music Ray'n in 2011, with the three making their voice acting debut in 2012. She made her official music debut for Music Ray'n by performing Akame ga Kill's opening theme "Skyreach." In late 2014, Amamiya, Asakura, and Natsukawa formed the music unit [TrySail](https://anilist.co/staff/144938/), which released its first single "Youthful Dreamer," used as the opening theme to the anime television series Ultimate Otaku Teacher, on May 13, 2015.

Amamiya, together with [Reina Ueda](https://anilist.co/staff/118602) and [Aya Suzaki](https://anilist.co/staff/114834), received the Best New Actress award at the 9th Seiyu Awards in March 2015.
