In the year 2014, a high school student who hates machines, Akira Natsume, wants to change himself for the better and tries to take the first step in doing that... But then he gets run over by a truck. Fast forward to 2030. A police officer named Minami Uezono and her partner, the android Alma, infiltrate the scene of a trade going on at Tokyo Harbor for an unknown weapon named “EX-ARM.” They are then attacked by an enemy armed with the “EX-ARM” No.08. Put in this life or death situation, they decide to activate the “EX-ARM” No.00 that they stole from the enemy, and...

Sumire entered the entertainment industry at the age of 9, when she was scouted by Space Craft's junior talent division. In 2009, she landed her first regular radio gig as host of Web Raji@Dengeki Bunko, and in 2011, she transferred to animation division of Space Craft due her interest in becoming a voice actress. On March 12, 2016, Sumire received the Best Rookie Actress award in the 10th Seiyuu Awards. She has also been a member of the seiyuu unit ".lady." since 2014.

Sumire is fluent in Russian and loves the Soviet culture, which she became interested in after hearing the State Anthem of the USSR in her first year of high school. In April 2010, Sumire entered the Faculty of Foreign Studies at Sophia University, and she majored in the Russian language there.

Sumire is interested in history and war figurines, particularly Russian/Soviet history, the Showa era, and likes the book Romance of the Three Kingdoms. She also has had a strong interest in games, anime and manga ever since she was a child. Her other interests consists of photography, lolita fashion-- she works as a lolita model-- and drawing, which she is quite good at. She also loves rock and heavy metal; her favorite bands are Metallica, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Dragonforce, and Kinniku Shoujo Tai. Additionally, Sumire is very good friends with fellow seiyuu [Sachika Misawa](https://anilist.co/staff/102337/Sachika-Misawa), who has called Sumire "her waifu".

2014: Akira Natsume seems to almost have a phobia of electrical devices while also being very good at diagnosing them. He resolves to change himself for the better and get a girlfriend like his older brother did. ...But then Akira suddenly dies in an accident. 16 years later a special policewoman and her android partner retrieve and activate a highly advanced AI and superweapon called EX-ARM and put it into full control of their ship as a last resort. Turns out the AI is actually just Akira's brain!
