Rokusho is a mysterious Medabot. An old stag beetle-type (or KWG-11237) Medabot who possesses the Kuwagata (stag-beetle) type medal. Almost always wearing a dirty old cloak, Rokusho appears to have no master, and he sporadically appears throughout the series, first appearing in episode ten when saving a small puppy from a river in a rainstorm. When Metabee asks for Rokusho's name, he simply replies 'My name is of no importance.' He later explains that it is the only thing that he still owns. He spends a lot of the series searching for his lost Medafighter. He offers words of wisdom and help to Ikki and Metabee in Robattles, however, he dislikes the idea of Robattling for fun. His main goal is to protect rare medals, such as his own, and all forms of life.

In the near future, humans and robots coexist. “Robattles,” a competition in which Medarot are pitted against each other, is popular among kids. A Medarot’s consciousness, effectively its brains, is located in a Medal that can be inserted into and ejected from the robot body. By chance, nine-year-old Ikki finds a Rare Medal, and soon after has his own Medarot named Metabee. This is the story of their friendship and growth as they use wisdom and courage to fight countless opponents in robot battles.

Dailey was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio to parents John and Rose-Marie (Genetta) Dailey and was one of three children (sisters Kathleen and Colleen). Dailey graduated from Ursuline High School and then studied law enforcement at Youngstown State University, in Ohio, worked as a state trooper (Ohio State Highway Patrol), and became a crime reporter for stations in Ohio (first at WNIO 1540-AM - now known as WYCL - and then ABC affiliate WYTV in the late 1960s) and at radio station CKLW in Windsor, Ontario before moving to Toronto in 1974. Prior to CityTV, Dailey worked at Q-107 and CHUM Radio. Dailey worked at Citytv for 31 years. Mark's famous line was "This is Citytv, everywhere".    Dailey survived prostate cancer but announced on September 9, 2010, on his 11 o'clock newscast, that he had been diagnosed with kidney cancer. The cancer spread to his lungs, and he died on December 6, 2010 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He was 57 years old.
