The main character of the series, called Serena in the English dub (nicknamed Bunny in the manga). Usagi is a carefree schoolgirl with an enormous capacity for love, and transforms into the heroine called Sailor Moon. At the beginning of the series she is portrayed as an immature crybaby who hates having to fight, however over the course of the series you come to know her sweet and selfless side.  Usagi is a bit selfish and very much a crybaby, lazy, clumsy, and also an academic underachiever. She’s also not very good at cooking. However, she cares deeply about her friends and family.   Usagi is very trusting, and believes that everyone had a better nature. She doesn’t believe in killing innocent humans, even when they had been transformed into vicious monsters, and always seeks ways to heal them instead. Usagi matures a great deal through the series, and even though she is still prone to some childish behavior and bouts of silliness, she becomes a capable young woman.

Usagi Tsukino is an average student and crybaby klutz who constantly scores low on her tests. Unexpectedly, her humdrum life is turned upside down when she saves a cat with a crescent moon on its head from danger. The cat, named Luna, later reveals that their meeting was not an accident: Usagi is destined to become Sailor Moon, a planetary guardian with the power to protect the Earth. Given a special brooch that allows her to transform, she must use her new powers to save the city from evil energy-stealing monsters sent by the malevolent Queen Beryl of the Dark Kingdom. 
 
But getting accustomed to her powers and fighting villains are not the only things she has to worry about. She must find the lost princess of the Moon Kingdom, the other Sailor Guardians, and the Legendary Silver Crystal in order to save the planet from destruction.

Terri Hawkes is a Canadian actress. She first gained fame as a voice actress, her most definitive role being that of Sailor Moon after Tracey Moore left DiC Entertainment. Terri left the series after completing the dub of Sailor Moon R, due to her pregnancy at the time, and was unable to continue in her role as Serena (although she did voice the character in the R, S and SuperS movies). This season makes a turning point in the Sailor Moon story. The Sailor Senshi are confronted by a new enemy, the Death Busters. Rei had a premonition that this enemy would rule the world in an era called the Silence. To do this, the Death Busters need to find the three Talismans that would summon the Holy Grail. However, two mysterious Sailor Senshi, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, plan to find the Talismans before them... but without Sailor Moon's help.

Linda Ballantyne is a voice actress formerly charged with voicing Sailor Moon in the American dub. She also voiced Princess Snow Kaguya in the dub versions of the Sailor Moon S movie. She had also worked on several voice roles such as The Wasp in "The Avengers: United They Stand", The Wicked Witch in "CyberChase", Saranoia in "Ying Yang Yo!", Queen Mayla in "Yoko, Mo & Me", Champ Bear in a couple Care Bears movies, etc.

German actor and voice actor most well known for voicing Bunny Tsukino in Sailor Moon (season 2-5 and movies). She was also the director of dubbing for 52 + episodes of Inuyasha and the dubbing director of One Piece.

Like the R Season, SailorStars is divided into two arcs: 
The first arc solves some conflicts from the SuperS season, and also sees the return of the Outer Senshi, Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, and Hotaru (now reborn as a child). 
The second arc is the actual plot from the manga. Usagi bids farewell to Mamoru, who is going to America to study abroad. In his place comes the Three Lights, an idol trio consisting of three boys, Seiya, Taiki, and Yaten. The new enemy is Galaxia, a woman who desires to rule the entire galaxy by collecting the Star Seeds of humans. Three new Senshi appear, the Sailor Starlights, who also intend to stop Galaxia without Sailormoon's help.

The season is divided into two arcs. 
The first arc shows Usagi and Co. having their memories restored from the first season. Their enemies are a pair of aliens, Ail and Ann, who are seeking human energy to restore their life tree. Mamoru had yet to recover his memories and he appeared as the Moonlight Knight rather than Tuxedo Kamen. This arc only lasted for 13 episodes. 
The second arc introduces Chibi-Usa, a little girl from the future who is searching for the Silver Crystal. The new enemies are the Black Moon Clan, comprising of the Ayakashi sisters (Cooan, Beruche, Karaberas, and Petz), Rubeus, Safir, Esmeraude, Prince Demando, and Wiseman. They too want the Silver Crystal so that they can take over the future. The Sailor Senshi's adventure continues...

Tsukino Usagi is a clumsy crybaby, but otherwise very cheerful 8th grade student. One day she meets a cat named Luna with a crescent moon on her head, and is transformed into the sailor-suited guardian of love and justice, Sailor Moon! To do this, the enemy attacks innocent victims for their Dream Mirrors and test their energy. Chibi-usa also has a new ally on her side, Pegasus. This season also sees the Sailor Senshi obtaining new powers.

The Dead Moon Circus has arrived in Juban with the hopes of liberating their queen, Nehellenia, by stealing the Legendary Silver Crystal for themselves. Using "Lemures," the Circus begins to convert people's dreams into nightmares in order to collect enough energy to plunge the Earth into darkness and turn it into a planet of death. In order to stop the Circus in their tracks, Usagi Tsukino and her friends must reprise their roles as the Inner Sailor Guardians.
