A third-year middle school student, who lives in Kanazawa city of the country of Kaga. He is invited by Megumi Okura to Dreamland Wonder Hill, where he meets her friends, and encounters Vanguard for the first time.

Yuuyu uses a Dragon Empire deck based around "overDress" ability. One card among them, Trickstar, is known to be his personal buddy.

Yu-yu is a boy living in Kanazawa, Kaga Province. He is 15 years old and in his third year of junior high school. He has the ability to sense the feeling of others, but he is troubled by the fact that he cannot say no when asked. One day, Yu-yu could no longer stand going along with his sister's hobby, so he ran away from home. The one who saves him is Megumi Okura. Megumi invites Yu-yu to a nighttime amusement park called "Wonder Hill" where her friends hang out. 
At the amusement park, Yu-yu meets Megumi, Zakusa Ishikame, and Tomari Seto, members of "Team Blackout," a group that meets to play Vanguard every night.
 
Tonight, a serious fight for the team's flag will take place. Blackout's leader, Danji Momoyama, and the mysterious and powerful fighter, Tohya Ebata. As Yu-yu stares at them, the card fight is soon eroded into a world of images. Singer and voice actor since February 2011. Used to have a complex about his feminine voice, but he got over it because people liked that type of unique voice.

Ryuunosuke Matsushita in _Kimi to Boku_ was his first anime role. He also sings many insert songs in the same anime. Ai Mikaze from _UtaPri_ series is the role that made him popular. Debuted with the mini-album "Blue Bird" on June 26, 2013.

After the sudden departure of a valuable friend, the future of Team Blackout is now uncertain. Yu-yu Kondou and Megumi Ookura feel frustrated for failing to prevent the inevitable, while the heavily involved Touya Ebata is trying his best to atone for past mistakes that led to this misfortune. They went on a tour of exhibition matches.
Danji, who had arrived earlier in America to look into the background of the Deluxe tournament at Michiru's behest, suspects a connection with the case of the missing fighters.

The third season of Cardfight!! Vanguard: will+Dress. Vanguard becomes dominated by the Uniformers. A world where everyone can become the strongest... Is the world envisioned by AI GUI ideal? Yu-yu and his friends fight for the sake of enjoyable cardfights with individuality!

After the conclusion of the Destined Showdown, Akina and the other Vanguard fighters are enjoying their peaceful days when a missive arrives. It is an invitation to "DELUXE", the tournament to determine the strongest Vanguard fighter!
 
The third iteration of the tournament is packed with must-see matchups produced by AI Gui, featuring the miraculous return of Michiru Hazama, and the legendary strongest fighter of Mythisch, Kagetsu Yakumo.
 
And in the midst of this tournament, Akina is faced with a question posed to him by Nao's mentor Kagetsu: "What is your reason for playing Vanguard?"
 
What is the meaning behind this question? And how will Akina respond?
