Mihawk is said to be the strongest swordsman in the One Piece world, and he is commented as being a monster superior to monsters. Because of his status and power, defeating him is Roronoa Zoro's ultimate goal. Mihawk is so strong, in fact, he is accused by some characters (And fans) of having the power of a Devil Fruit; however, nothing has stated anything but that his abilities simply come from pure skill and power.  He wields the Black Sword (Grosses messer), the strongest sword in the world. It's an ornately decorated, man-sized (6 feet) sword shaped like a cross with a shiny black blade, curved at the end. It also seems to generate otherworldly purple streaks as it slices, as seen when he cut down Zoro and when he split Don Krieg's ship in half. He can tear pirate ships apart with a single, unseen slash of his sword, blocking bullets with a simple turn of his sword, and he can easily defend against even legendary swords with a small, inch-long knife concealed in the cross he wears around his neck.  In appearance, Mihawk wears very decorative, ornate, black-and-red clothing. His most identifiable clothing would be his wide-rimmed hat adorned with a large piece of fluff, a long, black cloak, and his cross necklace and sword. He is easily compared to the real-life pirate Bartholomew Roberts, AKA Black Bart, who also donned a crimson overcoat, a wide brimmed hat with a red feather, and a diamond cross attached to a gold chain around his neck. Mihawk travels around in a coffin-shaped raft with two green-flamed candles, a single black sail, and a single seat. The fact that he can traverse across the unforgiving oceans, as well as the Grand Line itself, in such a meager craft is yet another testament to his abilities.

This new TV special tells the two years of Luffy's training with Silvers Rayleigh in Rusukaina Island after the Battle of Marineford, which has never been told in the manga or TV anime. It also features a new villain named Burndy World who is known as "The Destroyer of the World" and has the power of the MoaMoa Fruit (its ability is still unknown). Luffy has to protect Boa Hancock from the new enemy who escaped from the level 6 of Impel Down. He is newly designed by the original creator of the manga, Eiichiro Oda.

A retelling of the Arlong Park arc, with new animation.

The special will be a completely new work, featuring reanimated scenes from the beginning of the series through when the crew enters the Grand Line. 
 
The special is commemorating the manga's 20th anniversary, and will also feature anime versions of the original manga's chapter cover stories as part of the special's ending credits. The staff haven't yet clarified which cover story or stories will be animated. Additionally, the anime will feature a special 20th anniversary commemoration version of the original opening theme song "We Are!".

The one-shot celebrates the 22nd anniversary of the One Piece manga and focuses on a fight between Zoro and Mihawk.

The novel will center on the heroines of the One Piece's world. The first four chapters were later compiled into a single novel which released on June 4, 2021, focusing on Nami, Robin, Vivi, and Perona respectively. The fifth chapter is focused on Hancock, while the sixth focusses on Tashigi. The seventh chapter is focused on Uta.

One Piece Strong World 0 is a one-shot story published in Weekly Shounen Jump as a special prologue chapter to the 10th One Piece movie, Strong World. This one-shot depicts events 20 years before the current timeline of the manga, One Piece. The main focus is the relationship between Shiki, the Golden Lion and Roger, the Pirate King. In addition, it shows what other characters were doing 20 years ago.

Interestingly, one of the features that most of the Logs share are the publication of some omakes, an English loanword in Japanese for remakes. Those remake comics are three-page ones that tend to parody other genres. 
 
Those side comics were drawn when Oda was given three sheets of blank paper by his editor and told to draw anything. Animated versions, subtitled as Mugiwara Theater, were broadcasted on October 2006 along recap episodes 279 to 283. They featured omakes released from 2nd to 7th Logs.

Chopperman has starred in the animated New Year's Special filler that aired on December 23 2007.
