Kanzaki Shizuku is the son of a recently deceased, world renowned wine critic Kanzaki Yutaka  who owns a vast wine collection. In order to take ownership of his legacy, he must find 13 wines, known as the &quot;12 apostles&quot; and the &quot;Les Gouttes de Dieu&quot; that his father described in his will. He has a competitor called Toomine Issei, a renowned young wine critic, who is his father&#039;s adopted son.    Shizuku has never drunk or has any previous knowledge about wines, but with strong senses of taste and smell, plus knowledge gained from his time with his father, and with support from his friends and colleagues like sommelier trainee Shinohara Miyabi, Shizuku submerges himself in the world of wine and tries to solve the mysteries of the 13 wines and defeat Toomine Issei.

The main character of the manga, a young man called Shizuku Kanzaki, discovers the beauty of wine after his father, a famous wine critic, dies and leaves an unusual will: a description of 12 wines he considers to be the best in the world, comparing them to Jesus Christ&rsquo;s disciples. 

The first person to find these &ldquo;disciples&rdquo; will inherit the father&rsquo;s wine collection, a contest that pits Shizuku against his adoptive brother, Issey Tomine, who works as a sommelier.

World-renowned wine critic Yutaka Kanzaki has passed away, leaving behind a wine collection worth over 12 billion yen. His will states that his collection will be given to the one who can identify the origin and year of twelve wines he’s chosen, the “Twelve Apostles”, and one that’s superior even to them, “The Drops of God”. 
Competing for the prize are Yutaka’s son, Shizuku, who received a world-class education in wine but rebelled against his father and has never drank a drop, and Issei Tomine, a young charismatic wine critic whom Yutaka had recently adopted as his son. 
What is wine? What is a parent and a child? What is life? 
The complex and fragrant battle surrounding the legendary ”Drops of God” is about to begin…
