Gaburias is a bipedal, draconian Pokémon that is primarily dark blue in color. It has red on its underbelly from the lower jaw to the middle of the abdomen, including the undersides of its arms. A patch of gold comes to a point below the red on its belly, and a golden star shape adorns the tip of its snout. 
Gaburias has horn-like appendages that resemble a jet or plane's engines, giving it an appearance similar to a hammerhead shark. These allow it to sense its prey from a long distance. Its large mouth features razor-sharp teeth. The feet have three white talons, and each arm has a single large, white claw for a hand. Curved fins sprout from the arms, creating wings that allow Gaburias to fly. 
Gaburias also has a large dorsal fin and another on its tail that resembles a shark tailfin. The male's dorsal fin has a notch on it. Pairs of small, white spikes protrude from its upper arms and legs, and there are gill-like slits on the sides of the neck. The eyes are intense, with black sclerae and gold-colored irises.

After defeating Brandon and declining the offer to be a Frontier Brain, Ash sets off to travel through the far away land of Sinnoh. Once he gets there, he meets up with Hikari, a local trainer from the region, and they decide to travel together.

When Satoshi, Pikachu, and friends receive a mysterious message from the phantom Pokémon Arceus, they meet up with their old friend Takeshi and head to Mount Tengan to investigate. There, they find a rampaging Heatran and the group responsible—Team Galactic, previously thought to be dismantled. The team’s commanders are determined to find their missing leader by opening a gate between dimensions. With a trio of Legendary Pokémon and Sinnoh Champion Shirona on their side, our heroes have a lot of help, but they’ll need all they can get to save Sinnoh!

The chapter follows Gold, who gets in a battle with Arceus, as he searches for the missing Lance. Elsewhere, Team Rocket has resurfaced, which causes Silver to set out and stop them once more. Meanwhile, the Four Generals, Archer, Proton, Petrel, and Ariana have taken over the newly-revived Team Rocket from Carr in attempt to find their currently-missing leader, Giovanni.
