Affectionately referred to as Basics Ton-chan by Hakufu for his love of using only the most basic moves in combat abhorring (and perhaps being incapable of) any other kind of combat. An honorable but eccentric young man, and apparently studying civil engineering, he goes to great lengths to repair the damage done to any place he fights, patching walls and pavement and believing such a place to be a dojo he must maintain. He is a very good friend of both Sousou and Kakuka and has a crush on Hakufu, who is on very good terms with him. Like his predecessor, Genjou had his left eye gouged out this time by a kunai-wielding assassin (Xiahou lost his eye to an archer) trying to defend Sousou before his dragon awakened.  Anime version  Mostly the same in the first season, acting as comic relief. Goei told him how to beat Hakufu during the Great Toushi Tournament and helped him by distracting her daughter while Kakouton injured her legs. Goei also flirted with him continually, leading most of the Toushi community to conclude that he likes mature women, a belief he vehemently denies to no avail. He still likes Hakufu, who is jealous of her mother and angry with him because she believes the rumors.

Seven schools are constantly 'at war' with each other, and the students within - both male and female - have become skilled fighters and constantly battle with rival schools. Their lives and fates are guided by strange jewels that contain the spirits and destinies of warriors from the Sangokushi period. One girl, Sonsaku Hakufu, has recently moved to Japan and is apparently destined to unite the schools as her counterpart united seven countries long ago. But, like all heroes, there is a darker side to her fate, and as always there is a constant struggle by those around her to break the chains of their own destinies and make their own lives.

Loosely based on the novel 'Romance of the three kingdoms', modern day Japan sees a similar struggle for power between different rival schools with the three strongest being; Kyosho Academy led by Sousou Moutoku, Nanyo Academy by Sonsaku Hakufu and Ryuubi Gentoku from Seito High School. Together these three tousei, each with their own mangatama, fight for the honour of becoming ikki tousen and fulfilling their fated destiny through battle and conquest.

The fighters of the Kanto region have been able to determine that the previously unknown attackers are from Nara and are connected to the Yamato School and its dangerous leader Himiko. With leaders Hakufu Sonsaku and Moutoku Sousou already stripped of their Magatama jewels by the attackers, only Gentoku Ryuubi remains as the only fully operational leader. In order to maintain sufficient fighting strength, the fighters of Nanyo, Kyosho and Seito join forces for the counterattack. Although they expect to fall into a skillful trap, in the end they have no choice and even Hakufu wants to join in. However, Hakufu is “forgotten” at one of the stations on the way to Nara…

Immediately following the events of "Ikkitousen: Xtreme Xecutor", the kids from Nanyo Academy head to Kyoto for a school trip. Before long, they run into rival classmates from other Kanto schools and find themselves confronted by Kyoto's best fighters. It's a battle of epic proportions.
