Terry is the son of the Texas wrestler Legend, Terryman and Natsuko Shōno, a Japanese reporter. Kid always believed that Suguru Muscle stole the fame from his father, and held a grudge against the Muscles because of it, saying that he will come in first place to Mantaro Muscle and prove that his family is better. He even hated his father because of all this, and always said that he is nothing like him. After he learns about the power of friendship, he changes his ways and becomes best friends with Mantaro, but he still works independently now and then. Kid has a soft spot for many things, and is always willing to support his team. He even gave up the Chojin Olympics to save a little boy from drowning. Even though his family&#039;s moves aren&#039;t much of a powerhouse as others, he is still able to do critical damage on his opponent by using technical wrestling and submission hold.  Like Terryman, he will sometimes refer to others as You (ユー Yū) and himself in the first person as Me (ミー Mī). As his father was frequently referred to as Terry (テリー Terī) in the original series, Terry the Kid is usually referred to as Kid (キッド Kiddo) in order to differentiate the two of them. 

Kid Muscle (or Mantaro for short) is a bumbling, gross, and wimpy sort-of person. Unfortunately, he has been summoned to protect the earth from the evil dMp, a band of cheating wrestlers from outer space. Luckily he's not undertaking this task alone. Kid Muscle must join the Muscle League, a group of wrestlers from outer space who are training themselves so they can defend the earth, and stop the dMp by achieving "Ultimate Muscle", a hidden power that makes Mantaro an almost unbeatable opponent.

Mantaro has made it to the semifinal match of the Chojin Cup. He must now fight Ricardo in a soccer field to advance to the last match. Kevin Mask is also in the semifinals, and must defeat Ilioukhine in an aerial field to advance. These three matches will determine who wins the Chojin Cup.

After the terrible battle against the Demon Seeds peace has been restored and thus Mantarou is wasting his time away sleeping around, like usual... Suddenly he has a weird dream of him fighting a tag match against the Original 'Machine guns' team (Kinnikuman x Terryman tag team)... Even weirder is that the machine guns aren't 60 something, but are instead in their top form at their finest age, as they where when they won the universal tag team championship... Could this weird new vs old dream mean something? 
As he awakes from his afternoon nap, Mantarou realizes that there are some evil beings floating around the sky that call themselves Time Choujins, after sending a weird challenge they just banish in thin air without leaving a trace.
