Isao is a very authoritative and serious man, being also very demanding towards both his subordinates and his daughter. As the Director General of the Defense Force and serving many years in its ranks, Isao is a far-sighted man who gives his orders firmly in sight of future threats. Isao is not above using living kaiju as weapons to empower the Defense Force.
