A girl who encountered [Shiina](https://anilist.co/character/2599/Shiina-Tamai) during a trial enrollment in a sports chanbara class. She first appears as a second-year middle school student.

Despite her beautiful appearance, she is introverted and suffers from social anxiety, making it difficult for her to interact with others. As a result, she is bullied mainly by the girls in her class and has become a truant. However, she is well-regarded by some of the boys. She experiences many encounters with [Shiina](https://anilist.co/character/2599/Shiina-Tamai) as she is linked with a dragon she named Ensof.

Shiina Tamai, an energetic sixth-grader, found a star-shaped creature on the seabed during her visit to her grandparents' house. She befriended it and found it has some supernatural powers, such as flying and incredible strength. However, what seemed like a dream may turn out to be her worst nightmare as she meets other kids who have similar creatures and dark, destructive desires...

During her summer holiday at her grandparents house Tamai Shiina, a young and cheerful schoolgirl, meets a strange looking creature. They befriend each other and Shiina names it "Hoshimaru - The Round Star". When Shiina returns home after the summer to go back to school she starts meeting other kids that also have befriended a strange creature like Hoshimaru. But she soon finds out that not all these creatures and their masters are as friendly as Hoshimaru.
