Miyako is the heir apparent to a massive commercial conglomeration, not to mention a beautiful, well-mannered girl. Though she tends to be serious and straitlaced, she has her flashes of humor. Between her earnest kindness and her good looks, she's popular among both boys and girls.

Despite her family’s affluence, she’s quite the penny pincher and considers going out for fast food to be splurging. Miyako is a straight-A student, but she thinks of herself as hard-headed, so she comes to value the protagonist’s flexible mindset. Soon enough, she comes to rely on him, and it isn’t long before she opens up and shows him her warmer side. She works part-time at the café her grandfather owns, trying to build real-life experience and save money. Having awakened to supernatural powers when she obtained a mysterious piece of jewelry—an Artifact—she’s driven by her strong sense of justice to solve the mysteries around town.

When the university town of Shiromitsugawa was struck by a large earthquake, the sacred treasure in the Hakuda Tsukumo Shrine was damaged and mysterious objects called ‘artifacts’ began to appear from a parallel world. These artifacts granted special abilities to those that possessed them. There was an incident where someone abused these powers and turned people into stone. Kakeru, who has a strong sense of responsibility, lent his assistance to Miyako in seeking the culprit.
