Togame is the shogunate's self-titled "strategian." She is physically weak but mentally superior, though she is not immune to lapses in judgment and bouts of clumsiness.  Though Shichika is in love with her, his lack of interest in her body allows her to be shameless around him, so she can be naked around him without worrying about being taken advantage of. In this way, they have a very comfortable and open relationship. Meisai thinks that she wears bright clothing so she doesn't forget herself, and comments on her extremely long, white hair, saying hair doesn't become that way without a reason. She also possesses a special eye.  She says "gyafun" when she falls, and has a habit of saying "cheerio!" while hitting Shichika, though it turns out "cheerio!" is erroneous and is supposed to be "chest!" This greatly troubles her, though in the end, she decides to stick with "cheerio!".

She is a popular Japanese singer-songwriter and voice actress (seiyuu), currently affiliated with Amuleto (as seiyuu) and with King Records (as songstress). Affectionately called Yukarin by her fans, she is also known for her soft voice and interest in Lolita fashion. She made her debut as a voice actress in 1997, releasing her debut single Yuuki wo Kudasai on March 26, 1997.
While also a well-known seiyuu, several of her releases have been used as opening and ending themes for anime series, while some have reached the Oricon top 100 singles and album charts. Her role as Takamachi Nanoha in the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha series contributed to a rise in her popularity, as several of her singles (Little Wish: Lyrical Step, Spiritual Garden, Hoshizora no Spica, Beautiful Amulet) were used as the ending themes for the franchise's anime adaptations.
