Yamada is a 15 year old high school girl who is best described as oversexed, flirtatious and lustful. She is particularly vain and is unabashed in flaunting her looks in public. Upon entering high school her goal was to have intimate relations with 100 different men, but her insecurities as a virgin caused her to turn down any advances. Yamada believes the first step towards achieving her goal is to lose her virginity to an inexperienced boy leading her to pursue one Takashi Kosuda. While initially seeing him as a tool for her lust, over time she starts to develop genuine feelings for him. Despite living at home with her younger sister, Yamada is unashamed in her licentious habits which involve highlighting sexual terms in the dictionary and collecting erotic magazines which she keeps in her room.   Aiding her towards her goals is a personal deity who takes on the appearance of a super deformed version of Yamada, save the mustache, and floats around on a pink cloud. This character also acts as a narrator at times recapping past events as well as occasionally breaking the fourth wall to address the audience. 

Yamada, first name withheld, is a 15-year-old girl who has just entered Takizawa High School. Easily considered exceptionally beautiful, she has only one problem with her own body, she thinks her vagina looks weird and is very self-conscious about it. 
Upon entering high school, her dream was to have casual sex with 100 men but therein lies the problem, she believes an experienced partner will tease her about the way her vagina looks or simply the fact that she's a virgin. She stumbles upon the solution in the form of Kosuda Takashi, a fellow virgin, whom she believes will help ease the transition to more experienced partners. 
There's only one small problem, Yamada doesn't know anything about sex or the ancient art of seduction, meaning her quest to conquer Kosuda will be a difficult one.

She is a popular Japanese singer-songwriter and voice actress (seiyuu), currently affiliated with Amuleto (as seiyuu) and with King Records (as songstress). Affectionately called Yukarin by her fans, she is also known for her soft voice and interest in Lolita fashion. She made her debut as a voice actress in 1997, releasing her debut single Yuuki wo Kudasai on March 26, 1997.
While also a well-known seiyuu, several of her releases have been used as opening and ending themes for anime series, while some have reached the Oricon top 100 singles and album charts. Her role as Takamachi Nanoha in the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha series contributed to a rise in her popularity, as several of her singles (Little Wish: Lyrical Step, Spiritual Garden, Hoshizora no Spica, Beautiful Amulet) were used as the ending themes for the franchise's anime adaptations.
