Ai Mori is one of Ueki&#039;s classmates at Hinokuni Junior High School. When in a casual mood, Ai is usually upbeat and friendly, although she is often shown with a very shallow side, initially believing that all power-users (with the exception of Ueki) are dangerous enemies that can&#039;t be trusted. Still, Ai cares deeply for her friends, especially Ueki. She discovers Ueki&#039;s power early on, coming to a rather unusual conclusion and at first believing him to be an alien. Upon learning of the competition Ueki is in, she decides to back him up, to keep him from losing all his talents and disappearing because of it.    She is strict with Ueki at times, especially when he looks like he is about to do something rash. Ai continuously tries to be his voice of reason, although her shallow antics and outspoken personality often annoys him.      ~!Later on in the series, she is given an ability by the King of the Celestial World Candidate, Inumaru, during Ueki&#039;s fight with Sano. However, her power&#039;s condition is that her opponent must perform a goody-two-shoes pose (raising the right leg backwards while putting both of the fists close to the mouth region). Once this power is activated, her opponent falls totally in love with glasses (usually Ai&#039;s) and will do anything to keep them from harm, like listening to Ai&#039;s orders or even defeat themselves. Also, they will not attack because they may accidentally break the glasses, and will do anything to prevent Ai from breaking them.!~    The food she cooks tends to look rather odd and off-putting (usually with squirming octopus tentacles), but it still tastes good. It seems she may have a crush on Ueki as she often blushes when she sees him (especially when the manga series come to an end), but it is not admitted in the series.

Kousuke Ueki, a student of the Hinokuni Junior High School, is picked by a God Candidate, Koba-sen, to participate in a competition where people battle out to become God and only the strongest will prevail. Embodied with the ability to turn garbage into trees, Kousuke will be joining in the battle against other junior high school students in this selection. This sets the premise for the earth-friendly battle where the students will pit their powers against the rest.

Tomoko Kawakami was a Japanese voice actress. Having graduated from the Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music, she was affiliated with Production Baobab at the time of her death.

In August 2008, Kawakami was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which required surgery. During a three-year battle with cancer, most of her ongoing roles were replaced by other voice actresses, although the latter was able to do some voice work until her retirement in the start of the 2010s decade. She died on June 9, 2011 at the age of 41.

2003 Tooniverse Voice actor in Korea Rhee Yong Sin (Hangul:이용신) is a Korean voice actor.  She joined the On-Media Voice Acting Division's voice acting division in 2003.

Two years after the tournament of the next god, Kosuke Ueki is now a 3rd year student in Hinokuni High School. For some reason, everyone in the real world has lost their memory of their most important person, including his friends, who participated in the tournament two years ago. Ueki, being the only person left in the world unaffected, is fighting in order to restore everyone's memories. Ueki follows a little sheep named U-lu to another world called Hankagai. There, he meets new companions and gains new powers.
