Dozle Zabi is the second oldest son of Degwin Sodo Zabi and the Principality of Zeon&#039;s Space Attack Force Commander. His job during the war was to move fleets to and from various points in space to help the Zeon secure victory during the One Year War. Dozle is revered by his troops in the Space Attack Force for personally leading them in battle. Dozle pilots the mobile suit MA-08 Big Zam. ~!Dozle in his last moments exits the cockpit of the Big Zam and fires a machinegun at the Gundam, causing Amuro to temporarily be stricken with fear and doubt. He was caught in the subsequent explosion of the Big Zam and killed. His death marked the beginning of the end for Zeon forces in space.!~

What would you do if you suddenly found yourself in the middle of a war? Teenager Amuro Ray sees his life shattered when war comes to his home. During the chaos, Amuro finds himself inside the mobile suit Gundam, the Earth Federation's new secret weapon, and he somehow gets it to work. Amuro and the other refugees flee their homeland on the warship White Base. This group of children and inexperienced soldiers will change the outcome of the war.

French Tickner was an American-Canadian voice, film and television actor, known for his work for Ocean Productions. Moved to British Columbia in the 60s and became a Professor of Music at the University of British Columbia in the 70s.

The first episode, Aoi Hitomi no Casval, tells the story of Casval Rem Deikun and Artesia Som Deikun (Char and Sayla, before Char became known as the Red Comet) before the One-Year War in UC.0068. 
 
The story for the second episode, Kanashimi no Artesia, moves three years ahead to U.C. 0071. The story will follow the tearful separation of the siblings Casval and Artesia (before they became known as Char and Sayla). It will also feature more of the development of the mobile suits, particularly on the Zeon side. 
 
The third episode, Akatsuki no Houki, follows the youth who would become known as Char Aznable and his future comrade Garma Zabi after they join the Zeons' military academy.

Zeon ace pilot, Commander Char Aznable, thought he could foil the Federation's plan to build a mobile suit by attacking their research base on colony Side 7. He was wrong. The One Year War comes to a close, as the Zeon forces now retreat back into space. Amuro learns much more about his Newtype abilities and tries to use them the best way he can. He's pushed to his limit as he encounters the infamous Char Aznable once again. He also falls in love with a mysterious woman named Lalah Sune, who knows the full potential of the Newtype abilities. 
The greatest battle is about to begin, as many loved ones fall to the power of war. Can the Earth Federation defeat the Principality of Zeon? Can Char prove that he's a better Newtype than Amuro? All these questions will be answered now...

It is the year Universal Century 0079. Over 90 million humans populate the Earth, and many have been forced to live in space. People now live in large cylinder-like colony clusters called Sides, all ruled over by the "Earth Federation Space Force" (E.F.S.F.). Around this time, a group of colonies called Side 3, located near the dark side of the moon, proclaimed themselves independent from the Earth Federation and made themselves known as the "Principality of Zeon". 
 
Now the war has gone on for eight months and doesn't seem to be ending any time soon. Both factions are at a stalemate. As a last resort, the Federation attempts to produce a new, stronger force to fight against the Zeonic armies. They create the White Base and a powerful Mobile Suit called the "Gundam". In 1979, before the end of the anime, Yoshiyuki Tomino himself created the first novelizations of the original Gundam anime series. The novels, issued as a series of three books, allowed him to depict his story in a more sophisticated, adult, and detailed fashion.
