Nowa is an Asiatic black bear that looks after Airi.

Nowa is a bear who lives in the forest. He found a puppy named Airi a few years ago, and is now raising him. When Nowa goes into hibernation for the winter, Airi is still but a pup. But when Nowa wakes up from his hibernation, he finds Airi has grown into an adult dog.

Kazuyuki Okitsu is a Japanese voice actor and narrator. After he graduated from the Osaka University of Arts he was initially represented by the REM talent agency but from May, 2007 he has been affiliated with Kekke Corporation. When he was a 3rd year high school student he was the moderator for the 79th Japanese High School Baseball Championship opening ceremony.
