

A female watcher whose true identity remains unknown, even to most people in the Tower. She attends the academy as a student, and when she discovers someone with exceptional talent (especially those who are deemed unworthy by academy standards), she scouts them for the Tower. While at school, she goes by the alias of Iris Churchill. 

Although she often works behind the scenes, her magical abilities are on par with those of high mages.

A hard-working boy named Will enters a magic academy in hopes of becoming a great sorcerer. Unfortunately, there's a fatal flaw in his plan: he lacks the ability to use magic. Amid the cold stares of his classmates and instructors, Will feels discouraged at times, but he presses forward with unwavering determination. She was discovered in 81 Produce's 3rd Seiyuu Audition in August, 2009, becoming one of the seven finalists amongst 1,109 who took initially part and won the excellence prize in the end. She made her debut in a minor role for the anime [Sasameki Koto](https://anilist.co/anime/6203).

Monica's father is from Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain, and when she was young, her family would often visit there. She would translate for her younger brother some of the European Spanish-dubbed cartoons which included anime like Doraemon and Dragon Ball Z, often imitating the various characters. Monica studied ballet, tap, and jazz, but transitioned to musical theater when was 12. She studied acting through high school as well as college at the University of Houston. She's cited voice actor inspirations from The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Beavis and Butt-head. She was working on a theater show with Jason Douglas, who suggested she audition for ADV Films. Her first voice-over role was a walla in the 1999 dub of Martian Successor Nadesico.
