Mikuri is a highly accomplished Trainer and Coordinator who specializes in Water-type Pokémon. He is the Gym Leader of Sootopolis City's Gym, known officially as the Sootopolis Gym, awarding the Rain Badge to those who defeat him.

Red is just a normal kid living in the rural Pallet Town, when he decides to go out on his own adventure, along with his rival since childhood, Green. After participating in the Johto League, Ash decides to begin anew in yet another journey; this time by himself and Pikachu, in the land of Hoenn. Though he isn't alone for long, as 10-year-old May (whom dislikes Pokemon, but just wants to come along to see the world) travels with him after Pikachu destroys her bicycle. Ash also meets up with his old companion, Brock, and May's younger brother, Max. Together, they travel along in Hoenn, battling Gym Leaders, entering Contests, and other events on the way to the Hoenn League.

**Trond Teigen** is a Norwegian actor, singer and voice actor.

He started his career with the play *Treasure Island* at the Chateau Neuf in 1989, where he later also played Tony in *West Side Story* and Charley in *Charley's Aunt*. Here he also starred in *Hello Dolly, Sweet Charity* and *Oliver*.

At *Det Norske Teatret* in Oslo, Trond has appeared in *Sweeney Todd, Guten og Stjerna, Carousel, Musical Musikal, Black Rider, Piaf, An-Magritt, The Threepenny Opera, Which Witch, Norge-Brasil* and *Evita* among other things.

This chapter features the journeys of Ruby and Sapphire who are trying to conquer all the Pokémon Contests and Gyms in Hoenn respectively within the span of 80 days. However, this gets interrupted by two new evil organizations, the land-loving Team Magma and the sea-loving Team Aqua. Sapphire and Ruby have to worry about something else, too: their feelings for each other.
