Believed to be the most feared and powerful Toushi around, she even carries the nearly invincible Blue Dragon Crescent Blade from her predecessor as well as the legendary sword Kusanagi; she also has overwhelming chi. She believes her destiny is to die protecting Ryuubi. It is believed by many characters that Ryomou will one day kill her. Presumed to be an old friend of Kakouton and Kakuka. Despite this, however, she seems to have taken an interest in Koukin (this happens only in the "English Adaptation", it is not present in the original JPN manga).

Seven schools are constantly 'at war' with each other, and the students within - both male and female - have become skilled fighters and constantly battle with rival schools. Their lives and fates are guided by strange jewels that contain the spirits and destinies of warriors from the Sangokushi period. One girl, Sonsaku Hakufu, has recently moved to Japan and is apparently destined to unite the schools as her counterpart united seven countries long ago. But, like all heroes, there is a darker side to her fate, and as always there is a constant struggle by those around her to break the chains of their own destinies and make their own lives.

Loosely based on the novel 'Romance of the three kingdoms', modern day Japan sees a similar struggle for power between different rival schools with the three strongest being; Kyosho Academy led by Sousou Moutoku, Nanyo Academy by Sonsaku Hakufu and Ryuubi Gentoku from Seito High School. An American voice actress, known for anime dub voice roles. Her work has been for New York-based recording studios such as Headline Studios and 4Kids Entertainment.    In the mid to late 1990s she was the lead singer in the New York based musical group Primrose Hill, and made several guest appearances at the Loser's Lounge concert series.

As a sequel to the Ikkitousen series, Shin Ikkitousen focuses on highschools which are each equipped with fighters that contain the essence of Ancient Chinese soldiers from the Three Kingdoms with the use of Magatama. Just as the turf war in the Kanto region comes to a stop and progress in recovery is made the area is back on blast following the start of "Magatama hunting" with the direction of the powerful leader, Himiko.

Hakufu's dreams of participating in new fights and tournaments are put on hold as new obstacles block her path. Her friends have lost faith in her, new enemies appear, and a younger sister she never knew existed suddenly shows up on her doorstep. If Hakufu ever hopes to compete worldwide, she's going to have to deal with her issues at home first.

The fighters of the Kanto region have been able to determine that the previously unknown attackers are from Nara and are connected to the Yamato School and its dangerous leader Himiko. With leaders Hakufu Sonsaku and Moutoku Sousou already stripped of their Magatama jewels by the attackers, only Gentoku Ryuubi remains as the only fully operational leader. In order to maintain sufficient fighting strength, the fighters of Nanyo, Kyosho and Seito join forces for the counterattack. Although they expect to fall into a skillful trap, in the end they have no choice and even Hakufu wants to join in. However, Hakufu is “forgotten” at one of the stations on the way to Nara…

Before long, they run into rival classmates from other Kanto schools and find themselves confronted by Kyoto's best fighters. It's a battle of epic proportions. Sealed in ancient jewels are the spirits of the heroes who tried and failed to unite China in the Three Kingdoms era. These jewels have been scattered throughout Japan, and have the power to draw out the full potential of those who inherit them. However, those owners, known as Toushi, are possessed with an insatiable appetite for battle. Hakufu Sonsaku is one such Toushi. Living in the country, Hakufu's desire to beat something to a pulp goes unfulfilled until her mother tells her to go to Tokyo, where she starts training with other Toushi and sets foot on the path to her destiny.
