Buck made his anime appearance in DP181 when Ash and his friends were on the ferry bound for Suzuran Island. Unlike the other passengers who were headed for the Sinnoh League, Buck was actually traveling to a nearby island looking for treasures alongside his partner Baltoy.    Buck was a treasure hunter, who had found many rarities in the past thanks to Baltoy&#039;s senses. With the help of Ash and the others, Buck was able to find the island&#039;s treasure and also managed to capture a powerful Claydol.    [credit to bulbapedia]

After defeating Brandon and declining the offer to be a Frontier Brain, Ash sets off to travel through the far away land of Sinnoh. Once he gets there, he meets up with Hikari, a local trainer from the region, and they decide to travel together.

An American voice actor, former kickboxer, and martial arts instructor. He is the son of Debbie Rothstein and the late [Bob Papenbrook](https://anilist.co/staff/96008/), both of whom are also voice actors, and he is married to Samantha Papenbrook; they have a daughter named Ella Papenbrook, born on September 5, 2015. Bryce graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2007 with a Bachelor's in Political Science. Like his parents, Bryce does voices primarily in anime dubbing and video games.

He trained in the martial arts for over 16 years, and holds a fourth-degree black belt. He would go on to become a 3-time kickboxing champion with over 60 fights to his credit. He has been a kickboxing instructor at the House of Champions Academy of Martial Arts in Van Nuys, California.
