Anime: Maxie appeared in two episodes of the Pok&eacute;mon anime.    Maxie appeared in Gaining Groudon and The Scuffle of Legends. Maxie&#039;s goal was to expand the land of Hoenn believing that if so, the land would be peaceful. But at the end of the latter episode, Maxie realized the errors of his ways and finally changed his beliefs, now believing that the land of Hoenn is supposed to be kept as is.    Manga: Maxie does not have any fixed headquarters and moves his locations from cave to cave  across Hoenn, ruling Team Magma like a barbarian gang, also making them more elusive. Because of this, Team Magma was able to steal the Scanner from the Abandoned Ship and both the Red and Blue Orbs. However, the latter was stolen by Amber&#039;s Volbeat for Archie.    After Rayquaza halted the fight between Groudon and Kyogre, Maxie and Archie went insane and attempted to destroy everyone who had interfered in their plan: the Elite Four, the Gym Leaders, the Regis, even their own members. It was Maxie&#039;s Houndoom that burned Norman with its flames.    Archie later indicated that Maxie died due to the Red Orb burning out his body and causing him to crumble into dust. Red is just a normal kid living in the rural Pallet Town, when he decides to go out on his own adventure, along with his rival since childhood, Green. In this world of Pokemon, he makes many friends, humans and Pokemon alike. However, all is not well. Team Rocket is trying to capture Mew, a very rare Pokemon, and is performing experiments on other Pokemon, trying to increase their power. Red and his friends must battle against Team Rocket to stop their cruel experiments and unlock the secrets of Pokemon.

After participating in the Johto League, Ash decides to begin anew in yet another journey; this time by himself and Pikachu, in the land of Hoenn. Though he isn't alone for long, as 10-year-old May (whom dislikes Pokemon, but just wants to come along to see the world) travels with him after Pikachu destroys her bicycle. Ash also meets up with his old companion, Brock, and May's younger brother, Max. Together, they travel along in Hoenn, battling Gym Leaders, entering Contests, and other events on the way to the Hoenn League.

Keiji Fujiwara was a Japanese actor and voice actor.

Even though he was born in Tokyo, he spent the majority of his childhood in Iwate Prefecture. In high school, he handled vocals in a band he formed with his friend Kotaro Furuichi, future guitarist of rock band The Collectors.

At around 18 years of age, he moved back to Tokyo on his own and joined the Bungakuza acting school. He spent the 1980s performing in several theater troupes while working odd jobs. Fujiwara was introduced to his first voice acting agency, Ken Production, in the early 1990s. The first TV anime in which he appeared as a regular was [Yokoyama Mitsuteru Sangokushi](https://anilist.co/anime/970/), but his breakout role was [Hiroshi Nohara](https://anilist.co/character/33466/) in [Crayon Shin-chan](https://anilist.co/anime/966/).

In November 2006, he left Ken Production and founded his own agency, Air Agency. Aside from talent management, the company went on to release original drama and situation CDs through its child company Air Label, as well as produce live events. In 2010, Fujiwara made his own sound directorial debut in Kakkokawaii Sengen.

In August 2016, Air Agency announced that he was going on hiatus in order to undergo medical treatment for a then-unspecified illness. He officially resumed work in June 2017. On April 16, 2020, Air Agency announced that Fujiwara had passed away due to cancer on April 12, 2020.

This chapter features the journeys of Ruby and Sapphire who are trying to conquer all the Pokémon Contests and Gyms in Hoenn respectively within the span of 80 days. However, this gets interrupted by two new evil organizations, the land-loving Team Magma and the sea-loving Team Aqua. Sapphire and Ruby have to worry about something else, too: their feelings for each other.
