Diminuative Minnie-May Hopkins was working as an under-age prostitute at a brothel in Chicago's China Town before her iron resolve, talent with explosives, and great demeanor with the customers at the Gunsmith Cat Gunshop caused Rally Vincent to hire her as her assistant. May can hide armed explosives in just about anything, and is therefore equally expert at finding and disarming bombs placed by others. She usually carries a variety grenades and explosives hidden about her person, ranging from harmless smokebombs to deadly fragmentation grenades.    May learned her trade from Ken Taki (a.k.a. Takizawa) a special effects expert and infamous bomb maker. He is a former mob hitman who has gone straight. 


Rally Vincent knows her weapons well, while her partner Minne May Hopkins loves to play with explosives. The pair run a gun-shop illegally and one day Bill Collins of the ATF, blackmails Rally and Minnie May into working for the ATF. Little do they know, that they are getting involved in a mission larger than they could imagine.

Rally Vincent and Minnie-May Hopkins are two regular American girls. Regular American girls who own a gun shop, and might have dabbled in prostitution, and who happen to be crack shots and explosives experts, too. 
 
Those might be odd skills for a couple of American girls, but these two happen to be Chicago's top bounty hunters. Rally can shoot the trigger off a gun from a good distance, and May generally wreaks havoc with explosions and cuteness. And together, with some very useful friends and associates, they make up the Gunsmith Cats. 
 
"Burst" finds our ladies back at work, back in action, and... back in trouble.
