Anne is an orphan full of imagination. When she arrives at her new home she learns that sometimes you have to be a sensible person too; at the same time her unique character changes, or at least attracts, the people around her. The story covers Anne's growth from about eleven to seventeen years old as she makes friends, goes to school and studies. At a difficult point in her life, Anne will have to make a hard choice and perhaps find a new dream.

A new adaptation of Akage no Anne (Anne of Green Gables).

They choose to adopt her anyway, as Anne finds friendship, love, and happiness in her new home. An American actress and voice actress, mostly starring in independent film roles and anime voice over roles for Funimation.

In 2016, she won the Staff Choice Award for Voice Actress of the Year at the 4th Annual BTVA Anime Dub Awards. Then, in 2018, she won the Staff Choice Award for Best Female Lead Vocal Performance in an Anime Television Series/OVA for her role as Yuzu in "Konohana Kitan" at the 6th Annual BTVA Anime Dub Awards.

Miss Marilla Cuthbert and Mr. Matthew Cuthbert, middle-aged siblings who live together at Green Gables, a farm in Avonlea, on Prince Edward Island, decide to adopt an orphan boy from the asylum as a helper on their farm. Through a series of mishaps, what ends up under their roof is a precocious girl of eleven named Anne Shirley. Anne is bright and quick, eager to please but dissatisfied with her name, her pale countenance dotted with freckles, and with her long braids of red hair. Being a child of imagination, however, Anne takes much joy in life, and adapts quickly, thriving in the environment of Prince Edward Island.

This is based on the book Anne of Avonlea and it's a sequel to Anne of Green Gables. It follows Anne from the age of 16 to 18, during the two years that she teaches at Avonlea school. Anne discovers the delights and troubles of being a teacher, takes part in the raising of the twins Davy and Dora and organizes the A.V.I.S. (Avonlea Village Improvement Society), which tries to bring improvements to Avonlea with questionable results.
