Ezalia Joule is the mother of Yzak Joule. She is in the High Council of the representative PLANT member of the Committee for National Defence and is of the colony, Martius City. Her academic specialty is in aviation, aerospace and engineering. In relation to the existing war between Coordinator and Natural, it has a radical attitude and is of the view of Patrick Zala. 

C.E. 71: In the midst of war between the Naturals (OMNI) and Coordinators (ZAFT), a unit from ZAFT is dispatched to hijack the Earth Alliance's newly developed mobile suits on the neutral colony of Heliopolis. Orb Civilian Coordinator Kira Yamato attends the technical college on Heliopolis. After ZAFT hijacks 4 of the 5 mobile suits, Kira stumbles upon the last one, Strike, forced to pilot it to save his and his friend's lives. During this confusion, Kira also reunites with his childhood Coordinator friend, Athrun Zala, who ironically turns out to be a ZAFT soldier and one of the hijackers at Heliopolis. Having control of Strike, Kira joins the Earth Alliance boarding the ship known as Archangel, to protect his friends while despairing over becoming the enemy of his childhood friend and people.

A voice actress and narrator. She graduated from high school in 1986 and then entered Katsuta Seiyuu Academy. 

In 1989, Mitsuishi made her seiyuu debut as Tomoyo in the OVA [Ace o Nerae! Final Stage](https://anilist.co/anime/312/). She became an instant celebrity with her role as [Usagi Tsukino](https://anilist.co/character/2030) when [Sailor Moon](https://anilist.co/anime/530) debuted in 1992, and her popularity increased again with her role as [Misato Katsuragi](https://anilist.co/character/1259) in the anime TV series [Neon Genesis Evangelion](https://anilist.co/anime/30). She is considered one of the most influential seiyuu in the business; the animated adaptation of [Ebichu](https://anilist.co/anime/1060/) was largely produced because of her interest in the project, reading the manga out loud between takes of recording lines for Evangelion. Mitsuishi is a freelancer and a former member of the talent management firm Arts Vision.

Alison Matthews is a Canadian actress. She has voiced several anime roles, most notably Ezalia Joule in Gundam SEED, as well as the narrator in Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny. She also co-starred in NBC Saturday morning series Just Deal.

Kira Yamato is a Coordinator living in Heliopolis, a neutral colony. However, during a surprise attack by ZAFT, Kira stumbles onto the EA's secret project, the powerful mobile suits which Kira calls Gundam. Now forced to fight against his own kinds to protect his Natural friends aboard the EA battleship Archangel, he must choose whether he should fight on, or leave the Archangel defenseless against the four other Gundam that ZAFT has stolen.
