Yumiko was a minor character who appeared in both the first season of the Sailor Moon anime and the first arc of the manga. She was a friend and classmate of Usagi and Naru at Juuban Municipal Junior High School. Yumiko and her friend Kuri usually appeared as &quot;filler&quot; characters until the other Sailor Senshi were introduced, and often provided information about new places, people, and events.

Usagi Tsukino is an average student and crybaby klutz who constantly scores low on her tests. Unexpectedly, her humdrum life is turned upside down when she saves a cat with a crescent moon on its head from danger. The cat, named Luna, later reveals that their meeting was not an accident: Usagi is destined to become Sailor Moon, a planetary guardian with the power to protect the Earth. Given a special brooch that allows her to transform, she must use her new powers to save the city from evil energy-stealing monsters sent by the malevolent Queen Beryl of the Dark Kingdom. 
 
But getting accustomed to her powers and fighting villains are not the only things she has to worry about. She must find the lost princess of the Moon Kingdom, the other Sailor Guardians, and the Legendary Silver Crystal in order to save the planet from destruction.

Chieko Nanba (南場千絵子) was the first voice actress to play Mika Kayama and the second to play Yumiko in the Sailor Moon anime. She also appeared in other minor roles. Her other anime roles include Ryudia in Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, Winnie in Bamboo Bears, and Dondon in Shima Shima Tora no Shimajirou.

Michelle Suzanne Ruff is an American voice actress known for her work in anime and video games. Height 5' 3½" (1.61 m). Georgette Rose is the name of Michelle Ruff's mother, and Michelle used her mother's name as a pseudonym in her early career.

Usagi Tsukino is a normal girl until she meets up with Luna, a talking cat, who tells her that she is Sailor Moon. As Sailor Moon, Usagi must fight evils and enforce justice, in the name of the Moon and the mysterious Moon Princess. She meets other girls destined to be Sailor Senshi (Sailor Scouts), and together, they fight the forces of evil!

However, Queen Beryl of the Dark Kingdom also seeks the terrible power of the Silver Crystal, and sends her agents into the city where Usagi lives; triggering the start of a fierce battle. 

Will Sailor Moon be able to find the other Sailor Guardians, and if she does, together can they find the Phantom Silver Crystal and protect the Princess?!
