Zephyr is a wizard, and Takius's teacher. He possesses similar characteristics to The Joker. He has a high-pitched laugh and does some very goofy antics throughout the anime, from laughing for no apparent reason, to fighting Roan with a candy cane. However, all that cannot seem to hide his incredible power, knowledge of magic, and his utter insanity. Zephyr once had a family, but they had lost their lives due to a failed experiment of his. Coupled with the ridicule of the public, Zephyr was driven insane to the point where he could be easily manipulated by the Dark Lord. The anime is vague on whether he went insane during teaching Takius or after. He is eventually saved by his former pupil, but too late for both of them. In the anime, Zephryus was the only character to have attained an &quot;aura&quot; which signifies that a character has reached the highest level, 99.    ~from Wikipedia.

A Japanese actor, voice actor, narrator, and theatre director from Tokyo. He was affiliated with Office PAC at the time of his death. His real name was Yasutomo Nozawa. Nozawa was best known for dubbing over Alain Delon, Al Pacino, Giuliano Gemma, David McCallum, Dustin Hoffman, Robert Redford, Christopher Walken, Bruce Willis, C-3PO (Star Wars Trilogy), and Nash Bridges (Nash Bridges). He was also known as his roles in Cobra (as Cobra), Dororo (as Hyakkimaru), Gokuu no Daibouken (as Sanzo), and the Sakura Wars series (as Oni-Ou).

On October 30, 2010, at 3:36 P.M., Nozawa died at a Tokyo hospital of lung cancer. He was 72 years old at the time of his death. A year after his death, he was honored with a Special Merit Award in the 5th Seiyuu Awards.
