
Izumi is a reserved and unapproachable young man with a dark past. At the age of 5 years he had to watch his mother trying to murder his father for love. Takuto went between them and got hurt on his left hip. Still he’s got a big scar which reminds him of this day. His whole passion bears on soccer and he plays the ball like he's obsessive about it to let out all his anger, pain and hate. Izumi is the incarnation of innocence and honesty and cares for other more than for himself. He loves animals, to straighten and cooks willingly and good.  

Koji Nanjo, a young rock star, falls in love with soccer player Takuto Izumi. Koji eventually learns that Izumi's mother killed his father out of severe and intense love. Izumi took all the guilt for his father's murder and refuses to go pro because of fear that his past will be discovered by the media. Izumi detests Koji's company and encouragement and severely dislikes the attention from the press, but Koji cannot stay away for he soon realizes that his love for Izumi is very similar to the love that Izumi's mother felt for his father.

Koyasu is the most prolific voice actor in the industry, having been credited for over 700 roles as of April 2022.

Growing up, Koyasu skipped out on going to school to watch movies at home because he wanted to become an actor. It wasn’t until later that he became interested in voice acting after having seen [Galaxy Express 999](https://anilist.co/anime/1491/). After graduation he entered a voice acting school. In 1988, he made his voice acting debut, and got his first regular role a year later voicing [Gai](https://anilist.co/character/13374/) in [Tenkuu Senki Shurato](https://anilist.co/anime/2113/).

Though having voiced more characters in the medium than anyone else, he is probably most known for his role as [Dio Brando](https://anilist.co/character/4004/) in [JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure](https://anilist.co/anime/14719/). He has stated that he likes playing villainous characters.

Famous rockstar Kouji Nanjou has fallen in love with Izumi Takuto, a soccer player with dreams of seeing "real" soccer in Italy. In angsty boy-love fashion, the story consists of Kouji stopping at nothing to have Izumi stay with him, Izumi dealing with his feelings until the time comes where he has no choice but to decide, and all the other things the two must face and the problems from Kouji's family.

When he was very young, his mother killed his father and also hurt him badly; that may be the reason why Takuto Izumi, high school soccer star and the girls' idol, is so cold towards other people. He trusts no-one, and refuses to love anyone, so he leaves his adoptive family and goes to live on his own as soon as he's capable.
 
As he's struggling to put the past behind him, a certain incident on a dull rainy day turns his life around completely. The drunk he helped out on a whim turns out to be the famous idol popstar Nanjou Kouji, and ever since that encounter, Kouji has taken an interest in Izumi... An interest that seems to grow deeper every day until it becomes what can only be described as "obsessive love."

The story picks up after Zetsuai 1989, Koji and Izumi as a couple.  Izumi decides to leave for Italy for soccer, Koji races to meet him at the airport getting into an accident.  Now, Koji, a famous rock star,  cannot sing after his accident.  Will Koji and Izumi ever come to terms?

Picking up where volume 14 of Bronze left off, this is an epilogue to Koji and Takuto's story.  Includes side stories and epilogues for Koji's brothers, as well.
