Marc Thompson is an American voice actor who has worked for 4Kids Entertainment, NYAV Post and DuArt Film and Video. She claims to seek to prevent a potential war by interfering with the transfer of “Laplace's Box” from the Vist Foundation to a Neo Zeon remnant group known as the “Sleeves”. 
However, when a Federation squad also sent to prevent the transfer clashes with the Sleeves, the colony is plunged into battle.

The novel begins in UC 0001, at the very beginning of human space colonization, and is said to cover an as yet unspecified major event that influences the course of human history forever. The main story takes place in UC 0096, three years after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack.
