Nobori is an old acquaintance of Dent's, having first met at a rail enthusiasts convention. Nobori is referred to as "big brother" by Kudari in the Japanese version of the anime, indicating that he is the older twin.

Red is just a normal kid living in the rural Pallet Town, when he decides to go out on his own adventure, along with his rival since childhood, Green.
