He is a Seiryuu Celestial Warrior. He is the elder twin brother of Suboshi and was born in Tenryou, San&#039;un Province in Kutou Empire. The true name is Koutoku Bu, born under the star Neck. As a Celestial Warrior, Amiboshi is capable of emitting chi through his mouth and channel it through a flute to control the will of others. A skilled flute player, Amiboshi holds the instrument to the left when using his powers, but to the right when he is simply playing the flute. He works as a spy. Tranquil and reserved, Amiboshi can become single-minded and merciless.

While visiting the National Library, junior-high students Miaka Yuuki and Yui Hongo are transported into the world of a mysterious book set in ancient China, &ldquo;The Universe of The Four Gods.&rdquo; Miaka suddenly finds herself with the responsibility of being the priestess of Suzaku, and must find all of her celestial warriors for the purpose of summoning Suzaku for three wishes. Over a series of five years, Megumi Nishizaki wrote thirteen Japanese, light novels based on Fushigi Y&ucirc;gi. With illustrations by Yuu Watase, Fushigi Y&ucirc;gi Gaiden primarily explores the lives the various Celestial Warriors before they are seen in the manga. The only two novels to be set after the manga, Eik&#333; Den (J&#333;kan) and Eik&#333; Den (Gekan), later became the basis for the third Fushigi Y&ucirc;gi original video animation, Fushigi Y&ucirc;gi Eikoden.
