He is the manager of the specialty sports store Jumpo. When Himeko goes to his store to buy a replacement field hockey stick, a thief has locked him in a janitor's closet. Bossun realizes the thief can't be the real manager, and locates Hokuro while Himeko stops the thief's getaway. In gratitude, Hokuro gives her a field hockey stick free of charge.

At Kaimei High School, the Living Assistance Club (aka the Sket Brigade) was organized to help students with problems big or small. Most of the time, though, they hang out in their club room, bored, with only a few trivial problems floating in every once in a while. In spite of this, they still throw all their energy into solving these worries.
